✁--- How to Import Your Celestial Nebula Hideout to any "Bare" Hideout ---

I've been using the Celestial Nebula hideout for quite a while now, like many people, simply because it was the only blank canvas available.

When GGG added the new "Bare" hideouts I instantly knew I needed the "All at Sea" variant, since my hideout has a nautical theme.

After searching the interwebs I found no information regarding import compatibility between "Bare" hideouts (of which I assume Celestial Nebula to technically be one) so I decided to buy All at Sea and see if the import function would work.

Of course, it didn't.

BUT... I have a workaround for anyone interested.

Here's how I imported my Celestial Nebula hideout to All at Sea. I assume the same method would work with any of the new "Bare" hideouts. I am using Windows 10.

❶ Export your existing hideout. Take note of the file location you save to.

❷ Navigate to the file you exported.

❸ Make a copy of the file. Be sure to keep the original in-tact in case you want to use use it again at a later date.

❹ Right click the copy you made and choose "Open with..."

By default, if you are using Windows 10, you will probably see the following window pop up. Click "More apps ↓" and from the list choose "Notepad" as the app you would like to use to open the file.

❺ Your hideout file should now open in Notepad, looking very similar to the following image:

You will need to change the "Hideout Name" and "Hideout Hash" variables at the top to match the hideout you wish to import to.

*note: To obtain the "Hideout Hash" of your new "Bare" hideout you will need to swap to it by visiting Helena, enter the new hideout and export a hideout file, then open that file in notepad as we did previously.

After editing my hideout file, changing the "Hideout Name" from Celestial Nebula Hideout to All at Sea Hideout, and changing the "Hideout Hash" from 35022 to 58314, it looked like this:

*note: I'm unsure if every user sees the same Hash number for each hideout. I assume that if you also see 35022 for Celestial Nebula then All at Sea will be 58314 for you too.

❻ Now to save the changes you have made to your hideout file. In Notepad click "File" and choose "Save As..."

By default Notepad will give the option to save your file in .txt format but we need to save our hideout file in .hideout format so that PoE recognises it.

Click where it says "Text Documents (*.txt)" and instead choose "All Files":

Now rename your file including the suffix .hideout
In my example I have renamed the file "EditedHideoutFile.hideout":

Press the "Save" button.

You should now be able to import your hideout. You will of course have to reclaim all decorations from your old hideout first.

I hope this helps!

Fortune favour you.
