Banned for using AHK and only 1 server-side action per button press???
" Even if someone had proof, you cannot link or provide it, as it violates forum guidelines. You can however, click on the top PoE streamer at the moment and see auto-logout and trade scripts running. So in my view yes this is most assuredly happening. Also a quick trip to the help and information forum section you will find a ton of bans (most related to a trade script that I wont mention) These bans are taking multiple weeks to review and imo, GGG has done a terrible job explaining why, and how come it isnt impacting those that stream. It certainly looks like they review, see who it is, and then ban accordingly. Its not great optics imo. " If this is the case, I think a real uproar would be appropriate. We can always agree or disagree with the rules, but if they don't treat their own rules fairly, you're right; it looks real bad. I don't watch many streamers, but when I do, I never notice anything illegal. A legal trade macro? Sure, most people are using those, me included. And a logout macro? I swear to God I read somewhere that they allow that too, as it in practice is only one server side action. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Not sure if I mentioned in this thread, or another but the logout macro gets to the heart of their policy in terms of what a server side action is. Although it appears be to multiple actions, it has only one action that is sent to the server. I think the only server side action in that is the actual logout click. The prior actions which include opening the menu, moving the mouse to logout, and clicking the logout are all local and client side. It technically meets the requirement for only one server side action. That being said, they need to get rid of logout avoiding death. It is why they have one shots because anything thoughtful in terms of killing players can currently be avoided with the logout. Thanks for all the fish! " Personally I agree. An auto-logout function has nothing to do in games like these, what so ever. And I remember some quotes from Chris a few years back, when he went on and on about how the ability to instantly log out, gives them the ability to scale content even further. It's hands down the strangest thing I've ever heard come out of Chris' mouth, and sounds really stupid in my ears. I know Chris is no idiot, but those quotes were close to idiotic. Edit: And this is coming from a guy that played D2 HC religously for years. Nowadays, I don't have the time for HC play. But the whole idea of using a logout macro to avoid death within the mindset of "HC" is beyond me. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. " Well, I know it's a hard data set to analyze, but there have been no streamers that I'm aware of that have been affected by a ban due to scripts/macros (in error or otherwise), compared to all the bans in the last few months that are running rampant due to the trade overlay specifically
Spoiler
Awakened PoE Trade
To be clear 100%, ANY 3rd party programs, scripts, overlays, etc... are not allowed. Now whether GGG enforces them is a total other discussion, and where I think the optics get all kinds of messed up. So in practice there is no legal / approved trade macro or script, or even the logout macro. Both violate their policy, but again, they don't get enforced, at least not evenly. (it appears) Recently however (last few months), a specific trade script is causing all kinds of bans. (that I put in a spoiler above) Now it seems many of these are being overturned, but it's taking multiple weeks, all while no streamers have been impacted. Again, imo, it looks really bad... third party sire are really not safe, filterblade.xyz seems one of the relative "safe" site.
However, other site that ask you to dig out session id, to effectively "hack" your own account to allow the site to view stash, is actually clear violation of TOU " Other grey area would be currencycop, so that how did they wrote it to monitor in-game wealth without touching the part mentioned in TOU? If you care about your account, don't fuck around with 3rd party shit. Some people are needlessly complicating this.

" Things like Awakened PoE Trade are, well, more than useful though, they are pretty much essential unless you want to play SSF. Streamers use them and explain them on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PrgnshQCuk Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

" You dont really need any plugin and overlay even in trade league, just price it by experience......not worth it to use third party software and then banned. If you really rely on flipping to play this game....well enjoy flipping rather than the real mapping experience.... This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee.
