Game crashes ruined my SSD
I've experiencing a lot of crashes on game, and when it happens my windows stop recognizing the SSD and I have to restart to fix it.
Spoiler
![]() I got frustrated and just went to play another games, all installed on same SSD, I have this SSD JUST FOR GAMES, and everything worked just fine! So, in my naivete, I thought that was a temporary issue from my hardware and came back to PoE, where the crashes occurred again and now my SSD is not recognized either on BIOS. For the team that will look for a fix to this (if they will, and I hope so) the crashes occurred mostly on maps with Baran influence. Last bumped on Oct 1, 2020, 2:24:38 PM

" PoE can't make a bios not see a SSD. So get the "maintenance" program from the SSD vendor and run it to make sure it's firmware is updated + have it do a check on it (you should do this for all your SSD's). I would do the same with the vendor that made your motherboard. Get the bios and chipset drivers updated here also. |

" I understand, actually, I went that way first. Luckily, it was under warranty. But also, it would be too much coincidence the crashes occur just for this game and mostly specifically for Baran's maps. |

This HanSoloDK guy tried to justify for GGG when 3 of my PSUs were damaged while playing PoE over the years...
when those were Facts ... and I only presented what had happened. he must be either an associate of GGG or some damage control sent by them on these forums to discredit all the effects of the game on our hardware... |

" Idk, he was right to say " The game cannot interfere with the BIOS, but it can for sure damage the hardware making it just a plastic box. BIOS do not recognize plastic boxes. Last edited by troloose#1945 on Sep 30, 2020, 12:38:59 PM

" Except a game can not damage a PSU. That is a FACT. There is something else going on with your system. " yeah it must be hard when getting all those error 40 with your system. LOL |

" Well I must then advise you to e-mail techsupport@grindinggear.com regarding this and the damage cursed to your local SSD by the PoE client. |

I have something like that few leagues ago with Crucial SSD but it was hardware ssd issue not the game it was died i cant detect it on bios , and if it goes detect its work really slow and cant format it or do anything to it i was give it back as broken and change to another it was on my dad pc.
I use Corsair MP300 512GB and my new pc for 2 years now 3 leagues toal. And dont see any issues like that, have only 1 bluescreen caused amd driver crash and my usb headset too. And after fixes i dont notice crashes on DX. I turn off Vsync rest is on default and i probably my fps are capped to 60 in afterburner instead. Probably unlucky oh and btw after whole pc crash win10 always do some checking when booting and that can takes loonger then normal on boot and on user loading screen. PS:Bios/Windows 10 option FAST BOOT can cause issues as the system is not shutdown compleatly is save as a file and load witch can cause issues with drivers etc, witch can make issue with ssd other think that can damage ssd is tempeartures and if your ssd is small making partitions is not welcome too. Good thing you can check is your ssd health and how the save/write looks on your ssd when playing poe. Last edited by Dawbra#5008 on Sep 30, 2020, 2:04:41 PM

" Ok, just sent an email. But look, I don't want reimbursement or anything like that, I just don't feel safe to install the game again even though I want to play. I really like that game but don't trust on the company anymore. |
