Escalation's warcry damage buff does not work with triggered warcry

There is a notable passive called "Escalation".
One of it's traits says that "your damage increases for each time you've warcried recently", but it doesn't work with Warcries which were triggered by Eternal Apple.
There are several other notable passives like "Admonisher", "Warning Call", "Lead By Example" that work with any Warcry triggered by anything and not just by 'use' of the Warcry.
So can you tell me if "Escalation" is bugged or just has a mistake in the description?
