Loreweave can have 84% resists LMAO

Point is, thats not a Resistance modifier.

It´s a mod that sets a Value to a specific amount, i would call those mods Limiter mods or Hardsetters.

Starting with Your resistance is 0
Your Life is 1
Your max res is 115
Your block is over 9000
Your max zombies are 5

the familytree of belonging to resists is secondary in lineage.
If a uniquedesigner wants it set to a specific number, you can bet he doesn´t want it modified by unforseen consequences.

That doesn't make it not a bug. Bex has explained it in fuller terms (probably channeling Mark) on Reddit. You can argue over their reasoning all you want, but it's a bug and is going to be fixed - on all versions of the item.

It is technically a bug, but it's a design but rather than implementation bug, and I hate it when design bugs are called bugs. The people who implemented the actual feature did exactly what the designers requested.

But it's a limiter mod of... resistance? Which makes it a... resistance [limiter] mod. You haven't successfully eliminated the word "resistance" or "mod" so your argument that it is not a resistance mod is quite specious.

Shags' argument is far better in this case. Mathematically, it doesn't make sense that you'd be increasing anything. I actually disagree with his take--because it's clear that all the implicit mod means in the context of the game's long-term mechanics is "the numbers on resistance modifiers get multiplied by 1.08"--but his argument does, at least, make sense (and is probably what Mark will go with when they change this).

the saddest part is that people who are abusing this right now - will still have their abused items after patch :( Thats undair :(

In my book, that's not abuse. Unless having those implicits on a chest piece is the abuse.
The mod makes resistance modifiers better - your max resists IS a resistance modifier.

Here is another example of GGG don't thinking ahead when making things. That's why we have broken godlevel builds every league.

Now it's just wrong to change things people got by their mistakes. Even if I didn't get one and yes I think it's too powerfull I still think it must not be changed. Like aura stacking builds from Delirium.

Would have no problem if they instead made "Your fire, cold and lightning resistances have 8% increased effect." But instead is "your elemental resistances have 8% increased effect% so it's not a bug.

GGG forgot that after Harvest people have way more knowledge of modifiers...
"There's no thing like random one-shots in this game. You only die because you take 353,456,237 hits in 0.2 seconds."

"The best items in the game should not be crafted, they should be TRADED." - Cent, GGG
So now GGG has fixed this item modifier and the body armor is broken...
Thanks a lot GGG:( lost 2ex.
