Split Personality Crimson Jewel's lack of information
Hi
I didn't find any useful information from wiki Why does this jewel not work??? The description can be understood that all characteristics from nodes are increased by 25% but it failed Is there info about it or may be some clarification?? Thanks PS i have some amount of energy shield because i allocated some energy shield node for increasing but after installing this jewel the energy shield doesn't change If this jewel changes something else, then GGG should write about it specifically English is not a native language for everyone Demonstration of the Jewel must have an international style and should be presented in a form of video to be undestandable for other nations Last edited by Staglaitor_#3917 on Sep 22, 2020, 3:06:07 PM Last bumped on Sep 23, 2020, 6:00:27 AM

This jewel does not increase your other passives. It only increases the passive that is on the jewel. Let say you equipped the variant of the jewel that gives "+40 to Accuracy Rating". The further away you socket it from your class starting position, the more accuracy it gives you. For example, if you socketed it 20 points from your class starting location, you get +240 accuracy rating because it is 40 x (100 + (25 x 20))/100.

What jeerinho said.
Split Personality gets bonus the furthest you are from your starting tree location. The more nodes you need to reach it, the higher are the bonus it offers. This goes right against the usual tactic when planning a build, in which you find the most efficient path - usually, the one that takes the least attribute possible. In these cases, you will want to hoard up as much STR and DEX you can muster, in order to boost your STR-based (Brutus' Lead Sprinkler, Pillar of the Caged God, Baron...) and DEX-based (Iron Commander, Briskwrap, Hollow Palm Technique) builds Path of Building Community Fork shows how many nodes it takes from your starting location to reach a certain node. You can use it in order to find the best path for maximum effect. (It can also help answering the question "how does it works with Scions?") It may take a while, and it is absolutely not a beginner-friendly jewel. Either strictly follow the path on your build even if you think it's not optimal... or watch your allocations |

" For Scion it works from scion start point, even if you have like path of shadow or whatever. Those aren't Scion start points after all |

" When i saw this jewel first time i was glad since i deemed that i can get 25% bonus increasing to all characteristics in nodes and i was happy The discription to the jewel says it almost obviosly I have complaints about the developers The description for this jewel can be categorically concluded that the properties of all nodes are improved There is no way to understand what these or those jewels are doing based only on the description ,that is the dramatic drawback of the game. I fell into this trap dozens of times. Disappointment Thanks for reply good luck :) |

Your disappointment can be somewhat eased by comparison. Wording is critically important in this game.
Compare: Split Personality This Jewel's Socket has 25% increased effect per Allocated Passive Skill between it and your Class' starting location With: Might of the Meek 50% increased Effect of non-Keystone Passive Skills in Radius Notable Passive Skills in Radius grant nothing You can see there is a clear difference between "increased effect PER allocated Passive Skill) and "increased effect OF [...] Passive Skills". I do agree that "This Jewel's Socket" is a bit iffy as wording - though absolutely reasonable since Jewel's boni are actually granted by the Jewel Slot if you take the time to notice. I would have used a simple "Random Modifiers in this Jewel" or something else, just to remind it's an effect that limits to the mere item rather than other things. |

" Wording is important, yes but i know english language just for 75% about and i need video demonstration of all gems, jewels, and so in this game. The developers makes short and simple discription to all items in the game and people are forced to make countless experiments to find out all subtlties of this item during big amount of time As a result after 10 hours of experimenting any player can't make catigorically true assertments about the item because experiments are not perfect and can't open oall features of the item In addition this game can be played good only by players who know english perfectly - all other people suffer from non-perfect translation Last edited by Staglaitor_#3917 on Sep 23, 2020, 2:38:21 AM

But one brief glance on poe.ninja tells you that many top characters are made by Koreans. They don't have good English too, but I suspect they have their own forums where they share their knowledge between themselves.
If you don't want to get disappointed again, my advice is to spend more time theorycrafting your build on PoB Community. You can get almost all the answers there except the new mechanics like warcry-stacking exerts and timeless keystones are still yet to be properly reflected. It's literally the first Github result I get from googling "Path of Exile Community Fork".
Its official name, apparently, is PathOfExileCommunity, they dropped the "fork". It's the usual Path of Building offline passive tree planner, but enhanced and usually more up-to-date than the official version |
