Crackling Lance + Intensify Interaction - Clarification Needed
" Thanks for your report, I had a look at this and it looks like Intensity stacks is increasing the damage of the skill though it's not reflected in the tooltip. Supporting this skill with Intensify Support further increases the damage.
" In a controlled environment (removing the damage range so that Crackling Lance deal 78-78 Lightning Damage at level 1), these are the values I got: - 78 (0 Intensity stacks) - 101 (1 Intensity stack) - 125 (2 Intensity stacks) - 148 (3 Intensity stacks) Intensity stacks on the skill itself give 30% more damage per stack. With Intensify support (level 1): - 78 (0 Intensity stacks) - 116 (1 Intensity stack) - 160 (2 Intensity stacks) - 210 (3 Intensity stacks) Intensify Support gives 14% more damage per stack. When using Crackling Lance with Intensify Support, you gain (1.3 * 1.14)% damage per stack, so at 3 stacks you will deal (78 * 1.9 * 1.42) damage. I hope this clarifies. EDIT: It's completely possible there there could be other factors (supports/uniques/passive skills) which could cause this to not behave the way it's support to, I would need more details to find that cause though. " So Spell Echo results in 2 casts of the skill however you only gain 1 stack of Intensity. Crackling Lance alone (1.3 * intensity): - 78 (0 Intensity) - 101 (1 Intensity) - 125 (2 Intensity) - 148 (3 Intensity) - 172 (4 Intensity) Crackling Lance with Level 1 Intensify Support (1.3 * 1.14 * intensity): - 78 (0 Intensity) - 116 (1 Intensity) - 160 (2 Intensity) - 210 (3 Intensity) - 268 (4 Intensity) Crackling Lance with Spell Echo (1.3 * 0.9 * intensity): - 70 (0 Intensity) - 91 (1 Intensity) - 112 (2 Intensity) - 133 (3 Intensity) - 154 (4 Intensity) Crackling Lance with Spell Echo and Intensify (1.3 * 1.14 * 0.9 * intensity): - 70 (0 Intensity) - 104 (1 Intensity) - 144 (2 Intensity) - 189 (3 Intensity) - 241 (4 Intensity) One thing that can make the damage feel pretty bad would be the damage range. At max Intensity (4 in this case with the support), if Crackling Lance rolls the lowest part of its damage roll (26 at level 1) then this will result in a hit dealing 89 damage, which is only slightly higher than its max roll (78) WITHOUT and Intensity stacks. " Increases and Reductions to AoE DOES affect the width of the beam, however the visual itself effect doesn't get larger, just the area it deals damage in.
" I'll pass this along. |
