so whats the tactic with contracts so far?

What is the tactic so far? do we grab objective first and grab stuff then, or do we loot everything, trigger alarm and run for the hills?

I like the mapping alternative though, just wonder if people found ways/strats already
open the final door, open as many chests as possible that aren't high value or whichever you place extra value on, then trigger the alarm opening a high value chest and run straight to the objective loot and leave.

Seems to be about the best loot path so far, but the helpers will change the approach slightly as leveled
since the final room thing only sells for marks, im sure contracts its best to open as many side chests as you can
the mechanics is terrible

real rouge-like game have a clear way to know the enemy visual radius

and POE zoom level and linear heist (i have not yet play grand heist) would only lead to clear all....

The only choice you need is open small or middle chest or not... but guards are most likely killed (except you spot the patrol pattern and avoid them, but sorry for all stationary guards)

Then you won't get xp on your helpers. Early game you want to focus on getting xp on everyone so you actually can do any mid game/late game grand heists at all. Then when they are mostly leveled up you can run your strat.
Depends. I'm not opening anything but the big chest and the objective since I really don't need drops at this stage. Probably missing out on some currency I could use. The small chests could use a "hint" icon on them too. That might get me to open some.

Previous comment begs the question: What actions give them experience? Just the final objective or anything they do?

I'm still only low level, but the 'bit of everything' playstyle has been working so far:

- Kill everything you see, but don't run to find things to kill
- Open any chest that's nearby, but don't run to open other chests
- Or open all the chests with the big icons but rush to the end faster
- Most times you get to the end just triggering the alarm in time to grab the target thingy.
Something I'd like to see is the possibility to level up our hirelings without the need to actually grab the big relic at the end of a heist. For example, give them small exp boosts every time they do their thing, like unlock a door or disable a trap. Give them a big boost if the heist is completed. This way it is possible to level them up faster and reach the more lucrative contracts or slower but with more fighting and chest opening.

Seems fair
