[Mac] Using DMG and installing as directed results in Invalid Installation error

Downloading the provided DMG, opening the client in the Applications folder immediately results in an invalid installation error.

Hardware Overview:

Model Name: MacBook Pro

Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 8

I faced the same thing. I was able to start the install by running this in the terminal (keep the quotes):

'/Applications/Path of Exile/Path of Exile.app/Contents/MacOS/Path of Exile'

I got it to work by holding down Command while moving the Path of Exile app in the folder onto my desktop where I was able to open and start patching.
Looks like Safari is applying the com.apple.quarantine attribute to the folder because it's downloaded from the internet, which prevents the installer from working. If you do:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Path\ of\ Exile/Path\ of\ Exile.app
