Her Embrace + Hotheaded jewel?

I found this Hotheaded jewel in league:

I wanted to give it to my Oni Goroshi cyclone scion. However, I'm not sure if the burning effect of Her Embrace actually counts as being ignited. Otherwise the jewel would be totally useless to her. can anybody please enlighten me? I'm still a noob after almost two years and details as these tend to confuse me.

You will be counted as burning but not ignited. All fire DoT is considered burning, but ignite is a fire ailment that can only come in combination with a source that hits.
You enter Her Embrace by igniting an enemy, but the buff itself makes you immune to ignite, so I doubt there is any way you can ever be considered ignited while you have the buff. (Maybe there is some special mod or situation that would allow it, but I doubt.)

Thank you very much. I was afraid that it wouldn't work out... so a character using Righteous Fire wouldn't profit from it, either, since the source of the burning damage doesn't come from hits. Alas, what a pitty. Looked like a nice jewel at first sight.

There should be methods to self ignite, I just don’t know of them.
I believe self-ignition can be achieved by using an Eye of Innocence, which reflects fire damage (synergy confirmed by the Martyr of Innocence, which provides bonus when ignited similiar to hotheaded).

Not sure about "damage taken as fire" modifiers like Redblade helms (legacy), Korell's "Damage taken as fire" Veiled mod, Cloak of Flame, or Twin Avian Talismans can make other non-igniting damage capable of igniting you
