Please reverse the smoke for delirium

Make it so that the area that starts the timer to end the delirium is where the white smoke is, and the area where you can keep the delirium going is clear.

For delirium maps, remove it entirely.

It looks cool but it makes the game run like shit, and since it's an end game mechanic it should run optimally since it's expected that the maps will be as juiced as they can be.

Good solution as always INO.

Why fix the game when the rest of the world can adapt to its problems? :)
I entered a Pits map, and there was a Del portal right in the first tight-squeeze hallway. I knew what would happen if I went in, so I tried to go around it on the lower end of the path, since it was on the upper end (if I had to say one or the other). But the hallway was too small. I ended up entering the portal anyway, thus it was actually impossible to play the map and not enter the portal, which I had assumed was against the coding. (Silly me to assume GGG regulated a single aspect of its RNG blender.)

So I entered the portal.

Then my computer froze long enough for me to die.

Upon reentering, as soon as I moved, I froze again, and enemies apparently spawned on me again and killed me.

Two free deaths, simply because I chose not to scrap my map and make a new one as soon as I saw the impossible-to-avoid Delirium portal.

Do I need to update my potato?

Yes.

Is Path of Exile a 7-year-old game?

Yes.

My potato can run newer shit, bigger shit, and better shit much better than it can run PoE.

But I don't know if the elitists will ever stop covering for the plethora of problems this game has.

10k HP and died in one hit? Game is perfect, you're just too squishy.

Game from 2013 doesn't run well in 2020? Not GGG's fault. Upgrade your potato. If you can't play Far Cry at 133 FPS, don't even think about PoE, you pleb. This game had a patch recently, which basically means it's warranted in having modern day high-end system requirements.

Nothing wrong with the game the only issue is literally the player itself not wanting to upgrade.

Actually, there are multiple things wrong with the game, especially from a technical performance perspective, you walrus throwing T-Rex highness.

Having PoE available on Steam, Epic store and Mac should warrant AT LEAST a new minimum and recommended system requirements.

The current ones are left behind since a couple years "because the technology isn't here yet" to actually name a decent minimum/recommended system requirements, which should change AT LEAST once every year - I know that TencentGGG want to preserve an user base as large as possible, but they direly need to "grow some" and address those values way more accurately and often.

Do take a long hard look at the damn technical support part of the forum, where beside the connection problems, you have a plethora of technical problems related to PoE due to various reasons beside user related ones.

And no, most players don't need to upgrade their "potatoes" according to the minimum system requirements available, but TencentGGG need to understand that either they start using those laughing minimum system requirements as the lowest common denominator regarding PoE being "playable" or they need to UPDATE THEM.

Simple as that.

PS: Delighted that you decided to go for a new 40/40 in Heist, it's good to see the almighty T-Rex back in action (though how will you loot efficiently with such small claws?)...
PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days...

Hardware really isn't always the problem. I'm running PoE on a 8 year old Core i5-3570 with a 6 year old GTX970 and I rarely have issues with either Delirium or Blighted maps.
What I had to do is upgrade to 16GB of ram, though.

Wrong.

PoE may have been released 7 years ago, but since then GGG has made massive improvements to the graphics. It requires just as good a GPU/CPU/RAM as any other game released today.

If that is not your cup of tea, you can always play some older aRPG such as Grim Dawn or Torchlight 1/2 for example.

I take your post as confirmation that really, you only care about spreading negativity as no reasonable person would have made such a dumb argument.
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

imho: the min system requirement for poe:

newer i5 (or older i7 processor), 8GM ram, ssd, win7x64, gtx1070 for a maximum output of 1960*1200px for a lower level of 30fps in 2 man parties.

you need a better system if:
- if you got a higher resolution to serve

- you wanna play in parties with more than 2 people

- if your prefered group prefers playing minion builds

- if you plan to run some antivirus or multiple browser instances on the background (you need more ram then or a better processor)

what's not important:
- internet speed, except for updating the game
