Are Talismans just universally garbage?

After having always picked them up with their shiny beams of light indicators, I've come to realize they don't seem to be anything special. Even when some of them have some rather unique implicits, including Item Quantity, I just can't imagine anyone would grab a Talisman over a unique or a rare that you can Anoint.

I've totally ignored the last several Talisman chest reward drops. I've gotten too lazy. (On a similar note, I've stopped picking up accessory reward drops, too, because I'm tired of ID Scrolling junk 24/7. I don't even care if I miss that 1 Exalt roll, because I'll probably have 20 actual Exalts drop before a good rare drops.) Am I right to ignore these Talismans? Or is there something I don't know, and they're quite valuable to look into?

Hmm... Well, odds are that I haven't skipped over a good one, I assume, but perhaps I'll stop ignoring them again.



Can I ask, then, and actually cover 2 birds with 1 stone:

- What Talisman rolls are worth noting/keeping/selling?

- Same question with Abyss jewels. I have a few that I think might be useful/valuable, but I really have no clue what people generally want in them.

But I honestly have NO freaking idea, lol. These might all be vendor trash, for all I know, or some treasures in here that I could see, as well. Like maybe people really value minion speed, or tri-damage rolls, or or or...

Talismans are hard to get good ones because not only can they not be crafted, but you loose the anointment. This is obviously different when you Betrayal craft a talisman. The implicits be outright OP for certain builds.

good old "new" leagues ruining old items :/

best bet is mostly watch the quant base drop ones and not worry about the rest, they are like breach rings, hard to get a good one but if you do get a good one they can be worth alot.

The fact that they cannot be annointed makes them pretty trash aside from avian twins which are pretty niche/irreplacable, nevermind catalysts. If somehow you can get one with like 3 affixes from a league mechanic its probably usable early leveling, and not very significant otherwise.

Of course these things can be applied to amulets before they jorgin transform to talismans but that is not very reliable (and probably expensive).

For how impossible it is to obtain this item it is like a 2 affix item. Actually this was a white greatwolf which I lead to golded for fun, back when those were in labyrinth darkshrines.
