I enjoy Harvest League - Some unsorted random feedback
- Harvest Crafting allowed me to actually push for endgame for once. I could plan ahead what mods I want, how to upgrade my gear, all without needing to trade with other players. Just bought the bases, alt-spammed and then went from there somehow. Trade is not hard, but frustrating and annoying, therefore I take any chance I can get to not have to interact with it. (Usually one does have to default to trade though, because life+resists rolls are mandatory and the default crafting orbs are most of the time not worth their effect in the value they pose)
- I did not create any God-Tier 6T1 Items. The best thing I made is probably this . It helps me keep my resistances high and push for more Damage-Mods on my other gear. I see how one could theoretically create 6T1 Items, but that takes way too long, as it is behind 3 layers of RNG (1. Be lucky to find the correct seeds 2. Be lucky to get the correct crafting option 3. Be lucky to roll a Tier 1 Mod.) - Autoplanting for Tier2+ Seeds should've been a thing. Maybe have one button to autoplant, one button to switch what Seed-Tier to autoplant. - An optimal Disperser setup cluttered the UI way too much. It would've probably been better if there was just one universal Disperser, which could simultaneously disperse all three lifeforces, depending on which they are hooked up to? - The Pylon experience could've been better. Having only 4 possible connections is okay when you're trying to bridge some distance, but it is a hassle when you're trying to connect storage tanks or horticrafts together. - Having Tags on the Mods is a great step in the right direction, but using a third party datamine website to look up mods is still mandatory to figure out how to effectively use this whole crafting system. Maybe there should be a preview window of what possible mods can be rolled? I just feel like there is still room for improvement. - Some Challenges are really frustrating. For example upgrading an Incursion Unique, meaning you need a Tier3 Sacrifice Room, which seems to be completely random, since you cannot influence Alva's Room choices in any way. - I wish Harbinger was more accessible. It's the League I started playing in, so I always do Harbinger encounters whenever I can as I do have fond memories of it. I have completely more than 100 Harbinger encounters, and only ever gotten a single Harbinger Orb. Needless to say, no Beachhead Map yet, which is sad. It's a great unique map and I wish it was more common. Thanks for this league, I sincerely hope that the feedback of it all makes you consider some sort of deterministic crafting system in the future, so that players do not have to interact with trade to upgrade their gear.
