Always asked to verify account!

I play POE on my notebook and my desktop. The last time I logged on, it was on my desktop. At that time I was required to verify my account with a code sent through email. I did so. When I logged on today on my desktop computer, I was AGAIN required to verify my account, although the last time I logged on was on the same machine.

I hope this isn't a "trend" or a "feature". Is there any way to bypass this???

Thanks in advance.

This is most likely due to you having a Dynamic IP. Whenever your IP changes, it has the potential to change the geolocation of your current IP. This causes their security measures to assume you are in a different city, and it re-authorizes you.

This is normal as long as all the locations in the emails are near you, and the emails only appear when you are attempting to get ingame. If you see any other locations than ones near you, or you notice those emails at times you are not attempting to play, then it could be someone else attempting to log in as you.
Tech support: is there a way to turn this verification off? It's a nuisance :D

GW2 allows players who have already verified their accounts via email, etc., to turn off the verification "feature"... really would appreciate it if I could as I do use dynamic IP and I would hate to think I have to verify my POE account EVERY time I login.

Also, this apparently is a new thing as it didn't happen during closed beta :(

Thanks again!
We are aware of the issue with some users who are constantly moving about between computers/locations, and also about users who have dynamic IP's, and we're very sorry for the inconvenience you're currently experiencing with the new security feature that we've implemented to make it more difficult for hackers to log into users' PoE accounts.

We'll be adding additional security settings as soon as possible - including the ability to disable these.

Please let us know if you have any further issues/questions by emailing support at "support@grindinggear.com"

Thanks to all who replied and a special shout out to Mike. I appreciate how difficult it is to nail down all these nuisance issues whilst trying at the same time to finish polishing the game.

A disable would be great.

Best wishes :D
