Cyclone Staff VS 2H Sword VS Jewelled Foil *2

A) Which weapon has the highest DPS for cyclone?

B) What are the advantages of each weapon?

P.S I'll play Slayer Crit Cylone

You can compare it on poe.ninja but whatever you will use it´s fine.
It depends on build but

Staff: Highest damage (but 2H AXE), slowest, + block
2H sword: High DPS, middle speed, NO block
2*1H sword: Highest speed, high DPS, ideal for impale, some block

e: I would add 1h + shield as an interesting option (good mix of defense and offense).

Dual sword is probably the most expensive but it depends on your budget:)

Why on my theorycrafts, shield builds with Lycosidea ends up having the highest DPS but so few people and so few build guides are recommending this type of build? Am I missing something?

In fact shield builds are popular but not using Lycosidae.
It´s quite easy to get lot of accuracy and cap your chance to hit now.
There are more and better interesting shield choices

It is easy on right side of passive tree for sure. But on left side of tree, especially when not using swords, I found that going Lycosidea saved me half a dozen points and even made the usage of Second Sight timeless keystone viable. For swords and high dex builds on right side of tree, this keystone would only make it worse and Lioneyes is the better shield, as far as low budget shields go.

I looked at poe.ninja. So the highest DPS are staves and facebreaker... interestingly these builds have so little HP for above lvl 97 chars and some of them are only delving at shallow depths or not delving at all.

It depends on build / ascendancy but Precision aura and a few other options are enough.

Top DPS builds on poe.ninja are glass canon builds but you can see damage scaling potential of such builds.
They use different shields there but not Lycosidae.
