[noob question] Why do people constantly whisper wtb and then bail?

Just play on the china server, trade issues like this don't happen

Why do you think this behavior started?

People whisper the first 30 people straight away because the first 29 don't reply 99% of the time. Invite them straight away and don't go back to your hideout until they take the invite.

Don't take it personally, it's a result of the system, not the player.

I'm not sure what you mean by "on the spammer". I do this, I'll do it for as long as it's an option.

You're right; I have the choice not to do it.. but why wouldn't I? Given that 90% of players do not respond to requests for trade, it would be foolish of me not to expect that the majority of people I ask for an item will simply not respond to me, and thus the most effective way to request trade is by bulk.

If you're putting "such people" (which is most people, by the way) on ignore, you're cutting your already shrinking prospective buyer pool further still.

Well, when you whisper 40 people, and not a single one responds, it forces just to spam and go. I usualy give like 3-5s for a seller to respond (invite me or msg me) before going to the next one. Sometimes I get invites/replies like 3-5mins later, but I don't have that much time to wait on every single trade.
I too a lot of times get message that someone wants to buy smth and I just can't sell at that time, and 99.9% they moved a long and bought from someone else. Not a big deal really, just don't take it personaly.
