Understanding Stat Filters on the trade site
Hi, I'm wondering if anyone could please explain how the stat filters work on the trade page. In particular I'm asking about the AND, NOT, IF, COUNT, and WEIGHTED SUM options. I know what AND and NOT do, but not any of the others. Also, if you know how to perform an OR function (like search for a ring with fire or cold resistance), I'd love to know! Thanks!

If: show items with or without the mod, but if the mod is present, it'll only be in the declared range
Weighted sum: Every mod you add to the group is multiplied by the specified "weight" value and then compared to the specified total sum. For example, if you care about Mana twice as much as you care about Life you would add set Mana weight to 2 and Life to 1. (https://poe.trade/html/weight.html) " You would add pseudo search items: ![]() Which means that you will find items that add to fire resistance whether it explicitly says so or not: ![]() without any minimum numbers, you may even find rings that negate the resistance like a ring that gives fire resist and takes away cold resist. you can fix that by adding a 0 to the min value to show only items that are in positive range. deschanel has covered pretty much everything! Regarding your second question, you can also use Count to a similar effect if you use 1 as the Min and Max. Count searches for the specified number or range of Stat Filters you define.
For example, if the range is 1 and you search for a Ring with the Stat Filters +#% total to Cold Resistance and +#% total to Fire Resistance, the search result should bring up items with either one relevant modifier or the other. Thanks, guys for the replies!
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but it seems like weighted sum works in the opposite way that deschanel described. Because what setting weight to 2 does is multiply the value of that mod by 2, so u would therefore see smaller values in your search results in order not to go over the maximum weighted sum value. For example,I have +#% total to Cold Resistance and +#% total to Fire Resistance as my mods. Cold is 1 weight, Fire is 2. Max Weight is 48. In my search results, the max cold I can find is 48, whearas the max fire I can find is 24. Also, it seems to me using pseudo is not a way to get a strict OR function (at least as far as I understand it). It can work, like in the example deschanel shows. But in most cases it is an AND function. The method that AI_GGG describes is a proper OR function. I do appreciate though learning about pseudo, that will be useful, so thanks! |
