Recolor a limited edition is definitely not a way to go. Everyone who bought the support pack due to his limited condition, has the right to feel outraged.
When you delimit an item as exclusive, you are attributting a weight to them. You are sending a message to your costumers that say "if you want to buy, buy it now, because you are not gonna see this stuff again". And recolor is just a shameful way to bypass your own statment, pretending as if nothing had happened.
