How Awakener's Orb work with the same influence?

I have a Body armor, witch have the Elder and Crusader influence, and i want to get the prefix of explode of another body armor witch have only Crusader influence, only using the Awakener's Orb, i can do it? The Body armor will maintain the two influences of elder and crusader with the explode prefix?

Awakener Orb specifically states that it need two items with different influences in order to work.

The question now is: If you have an item with a Elder-Crusader influence and annul everything but the Crusader modifier, can you transfer the Crusader modifier from the Elder-Crusader item into another Crusader item?
In other words, how does Awakener Orb works with double-influenced items being the donor?
