The Glorious Viking Duelist Guide (also axes, blood magic and a ton of cleave)

@SEOINAGE: Your build is better than mine, period. No wonder you can solo everything in the game with ease. I would suggest you get Multistrike for both Cleave and Dual Strike and blast monsters to infinity with them. Good build, amazing work with your character in my opinion, keep it up! ;)

EDIT: I would like an opinion on this build ->Acrobat Dual Wielder. It is a huge variation of my current one, focusing on more life, dropping all the armor and getting evasion instead and making it more possible to use other kinds of weaponry, like probably swords. I want quick feedback on this if possible, I would like to try it out in Hardcore (I was challenged by someone to do this) and I would like to know if it can stand well.

For hardcore I've always done things a bit different. You need to make up for where the game lacks. For instance desync, everything I do causes desync. What I have done to compensate is add hp and health regen. It came when i lost one of my favorite characters in hardcore, so my next character I went overboard, but it worked, in CB mind you, I ended up on the top 5.

So with that, I know a couple things. Without armor, stuff will hit harder when it lands. I counted 218% hp in your build, plus a flat 30 hp, and a fair amount of strength. IMO to make acrobatics work especially on hardcore, I would be shooting for 300% hp. Traveling to marauder area is costly, but there are ways you can make it work including templar hp area, but you also need to take the marauder starter hp nodes. Which then ends up leaving you with little room for damage nodes, and low dex, and not enough nodes for acrobatics which then becomes problematic. I don't have a solution for it other than grab a few block nodes and go hybrid armor and carry granite flasks and shoot for atleast 270% hp.

It really is tough, i was surprised at how well my character did. I think it would be possible on hardcore, as my deaths are rare and most were avoidable, but you would have to have max resists always, and high hp always, and just flat out overcompensate where you can since being melee is extremely hard as it stands.

not to mention you can't feed yourself gear if this is your first HC character.

I would personally make a few modifications on your build, make a few versions of it, with different goals in mind to compensate for factors you can't control. Then see what people think of them.
@SEOINAGE: Thanks a lot for the feedback, I decided to move away from Acrobatics already and went with a higher HP build based off a two handed sword build I had lying about. It is a minor modification to my original build with extra HP though. I think its total HP is now 254% or something and when I get to a high level I will eventually drop to default league and equip this baby ->
to maximize my damage. So far I am in love with this new build and I think I might as well keep on playing this new build, cause I got too bored of my axes (*seathes them and takes a nap). Still, I will keep my level 70 character intact and use him for map-farming and stuff, could use some decent loot to outfit my Hardcore guy when I will eventually drop him into default! :P

@SEOINAGE: Well, given your helpful feedback, I would like to hear from you on my new build aimed for Hardcore-ish (meaning i wil drop to default at higher levels to play with a friend, but I was challenged to play hardcore for a while with a new build).

Current:
21 points
Two branches, want an opinion:
the Dodger
the Hbyrid

I am plying 2handed sword in this build and I am thinking to either go Hybrid or Dodging. I do not know what is going to be best for me (obviously Dodging requires a little bit more points) but I know where my core will stand nonetheless. I would like an opinion on it, plus if you have played a melee character without BM and how to actually make my mana not disappear after the 3rd Cleave. I was aiming to build a 6L for Cleave-Double Strike-Heavy Strike-Faster Attacks-Multistrike-Life Gain On Hit but it can also go as far as being set to a 5L without the Life Gain On Hit, because with all my regen nodes I am at 3.5% and with the extra regen from my gear, I can actually regen like 105HP per second on a mediocre 3k HP character so... :P

I would just go with whichever interests you at this point. And leave it open and able to be modified as you go.

Just a heads up if you wanted to make your character fun again, try cyclone with multistrike. Using that as my attack now, scary at times but seems to be sweet with dw.
Unfortunately I cannot play cyclone due to huge desync issues, most times I end up dead so either I will w8 for devs to fix it or something or play my alt and farm stuff, which by the way is going pretty well, I picked up a Wurm's Molt (belt) and a bunch of orbs, so it is cool to gather a bunch of currency and loot for hard times. ;) (And yeah the alt dropped to default due to a desync issue at some point, only 1 death though at level 24 and still soloing every single thing!)

Yeah I desync all over iwth cyclone. Sometimes I just dual strike a target till i sync up then cyclone some more. Makes maps tricky lol. If they fixed desync cyclone could be strong.

Sure thing. I am looking forward to generally nerfing the melee, both in terms of code improvement and desync as well as in terms of new skills to make melee more competitive. I am also quite sure that when this happens, we will all have to buy a ton of Regret orbs and switch over to lower HP builds because some skills may be beastly enough to take care of our problems. Till then I will play my alt which by the way is coming out to be even more fun than my Dual Wielding Bersekring Viking Duelist! :P

Hello, I'm new to this game
I want to play duelist with your guide, because I like DW and axes or swords :P
I would like to ask You that is this build (final build on first post) still good one to focus on, or You've change your mind? ;)

Follow up to 75-80 points, it is solid up to that point. The last points towards 100 may need a little bit of tweaking if you find yourself needing more survivability, but at around that point you will know what you want and need to do to make it work for you. For me it worked quite well until level 70 when I got bored playing and turned to an alt character. ;)

Looked at your build, noticed you took armor nodes, and stopped reading.
