CAN I USE CORRUPTED UNIQUES FOR RECIPES?
As the title says, Can I use corrupted Uniques for recipes? I don't want to waste currency on fates and Ingredients. I can't find any info about it :(

What receipt? The wiki is very descriptive for what will/won’t be viable with recipes.

99% sure that you can use corrupted uniques for the recipes. But it's hardly worth it. If you have Anticipation, just keep it, unless the corruption bricked it. If your current character doesn't need it, save it for later.

" It's corrupted? What recipe are you wanting to do? Are you wanting to turn it into The Surrender? |

" Oh I see, I'll save it for later. Thank you for your response. |

Yeah, but I guess I'll save it for now. Thank you for the response.

Hold on. If you want to turn a corrupted Anticipation into an Surrender, you can't.
This action is not a "Vendor Recipe", it's merely applying a currency (Uul-Netol's blessing) on an item (The Surrender). With one single exception, Corrupted Items: > cannot have currency applied to them > cannot be crafted (except when it's about sockets, and their price will require extra vaal orbs) > cannot be used in Syndicate Benches > cannot be used in Harvest Crafting (unless specifically stated by the craft) Usually, corrupted items cannot be used in actual Vendor Recipe. If their use is tolerated, Wikia will tell you. There are even some very specific Vendor Recipes that instead requires certain items to be corrupted - for example, Star of Wraeclast needs a Corrupted Lightning Warp, and will clearly states that a Vaal Lightning Warp will not do. This is also why you cannot use the "turn a lv20 gem into the same gem at lv1 with 20% quality" won't work with Vaal skill gems. On a side-related note, Upgrading an Incursion unique with a Vial, while similiar to the Blessing method, is substantially different in the execution. While upgrading a Breach unique is just slamming a currency, upgrading an Incursion is literally destroying the unique and the vial in order to create a new unique. I guess this not only means you can use corrupted uniques for this, but the resulting upgraded unique will also be cleansed of corruption (Ironically) Last edited by Maxtrux#0762 on Jul 9, 2020, 2:19:40 AM

For sure corrupted items can be used in at least some recipes that the wiki doesn't explicitly say it works.
For example it works with Full Set recipe. I just tried it with chance recipe, so I assume it works with chaos and regal also. During Breach League I had 2-3 tabs full of corrupted breach rings. I matched them up for same name recipe. I just tried that also and it still works. Neither of those mention corruption in the wiki. As for Surrender, how would that even work, even if it wasn't corrupted? Is Surrender considered an upgrade to Anticipation for a blessing to work? It just seems different, not an upgrade. Would an Ancient orb work? You can chance in a map with the right league tag, but do blessing and ancient orbs work to make league only drops? Breach uniques always have an "upgraded" version. HoTM has HoWA, Xoph's Blood has Xoph's Heart and Anticipation has Surrender. In order to get those "upgraded" version, you have to apply the right Blessing on them. For Uul-netol's items (Kiss, Anticipation and the boots) you'll need a Uul-Netol's blessing - other blessings won't do. Blessings are considered stacking currencies
In order to Upgrade a Breach unique, you'll have to apply (as in, right-click on the blessing then right-click on the item) the blessing to the Unique. That unique will be destroyed and, in its place, the Upgraded version will come out. The statistics of the non-corrupted item are irrelevant to the rolls of the upgraded version. In other words, blessing a perfect-roll Anticipation have the same chance to yield a worst-roll surrender than a best-roll surrender. This differs mainly for Fated Uniques, which will carry their statistics to the new items they generate Just like you cannot upgrade a corrupted unique to its fated version, it is impossible to upgrade a corrupted Breach unique. Redeeming a The Darkest Dream cards, which offers a corrupted Severed in Sleep, will not help getting an United in Dream, since Chayula's Offerings, being currencies, won't apply to that corrupted items. On the matter of Ancient Orbs, they work just like Orb of Chance: In order to have a chance to get a unique you must have it inside your drop table. In other words, there must be a non-zero chance for you to touch a clickable item in that area and receive that unique. This will work for most of the old league's uniquest (Headhunter, Voll's Devotion...), but because of this definition it would be impossible for you to get an unique that only a certain boss from that league would drop. Since Breach uniques can only be dropped by Breachlords and, sometimes, breach monsters and Clasped Hands if you are very lucky (and even in that case the drop table is limited to that breach/breachlord's uniques), it would be impossible for an Ancient Orb to yield a Breach unique, or for an Orb of Chance to chance one In other words, imagine a Zana Mod for Delve. Inside that map there can be a chance for an Orb of Chance or an Ancient Orb to yield a Chains of the Primordial (a Delve-exclusive general drop), but there will be no way for you to Chance/Ancient a Doryani's Machinarium (a drop exclusive of a Delve-related boss) EDIT: On that note: there could be needed further inquiries if an Anticipation was yielded by The mercenary, since this would break the divination card's rule "DivCards with generic reward cannot yield uniques that can only drop from bosses". Perhaps Breach uniques are a bit borderline on that matter, because of their very unique interaction with the drop table? Last edited by Maxtrux#0762 on Jul 9, 2020, 4:18:00 AM
