the speed shown is the speed the patcher is able to write the received data onto the harddisk or ssd.
so it's a local problem with some caching tech on your mainboard/hdd/ssd or the patcher had a hiccup. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! Last edited by vio#1992 on Jul 3, 2020, 8:06:08 AM

GM's dont patch the game they only keep order.

" Yes, the download speed in PoE's patcher is very unstable. It ranges from bytes or kbytes to several dozen MBps. I think those jumps in speed happen due to PoE downlaoding many many very small files and speed constantly resets, hence it's unstable. It actually never happened a year ago or so and the dl's were smooth as silk at high speeds. Speed was much better... (I used SSD then and use SSD now) Also, the default server choice by the client might not match you well. I mean I have no clue where I'm downloading from and it's kinda bad that I can't choose where to download from. New mute system is terrible - no trade...

I literally can't even download the game ATM. Got some decent speed around midnight yesterday and managed to get down like 15 gig, but it hadn't finished when I woke up today and now I'm getting awful speeds again.
Never had these typ of problems before and I usually re-download the game each league. This game, I swear... There's always something... Ninja.
