Please Re-enter your password - you are loggin in from a new location

Since the harvest patch I have to unlock my account via e-mail on a daily basis.

Everytime I try to log into the game for the first time of the day the client tells me that I have to reenter my password becuase I was attemtping to log in from a new location.

I'm sitting on the same chair, that doesn't even have wheels, every single day.

However, if I follow the instruction and reenter my password, the attempt to login fails and I have to log into my e-mail account to copy the code sent, to unlock my client.

After unlocking with the e-mail-code, the pre-entered password allows me to get into my character selection

This only happens the first time of a day that I'm accessing PoE. But literally every single day...

I'm using the standalone client. No VPN.

I do have an older version of PoE installed on steam, but Steam isn't even booted and I had my pc only go to sleep for the last 6 days - no complete turn off.

So basicly GGG sneakily applied a two-factor verification process for me to play PoE :) :(

Can we fix this somehow? :)

not really, it's the same security function for everyone who's IP changes all the time and that's what is happening here.
So either get a "static" IP from your ISP or e-mail GGG support and ask them to disable account security on your account...
However this also means that your account will be wide open for hacking....
We are able to disable this security feature on your account, but we will need to verify some information with you before considering this. As disabling this feature would leave your account at risk to unauthorised users, it is important we verify ownership of the account before removing this feature.

Would you be able to contact us at support@grindinggear.com, using the email address linked to your account? Our team would be happy to look into this with you over email.
Thanks for your replies!

Why did my IP start changing all of a sudden, tho? I didn't change anything about my internet connection.

Kinda weird that this starts to happen exactly when harvest patch hits.
