Eye of Conquest Disappeared, Can't Go to Karui Fortress

I defeated the boss to the area where it dropped the eye of conquest and went to go open the door after going to the waterfall where it said Error: Failed to join and instances. I couldn't start a new instance to Karui Fortress, nor could I get the eye of conquest again from the boss even after starting a new instance in the boss' area.

If you could help as soon a possible that would be great because I'm not trying to start another character right now.
