" If it were public knowledge, people wouldn't complain so much about having performance issues. Even if it is public knowledge on the Diablo III Beta forums: Blizzard themselves said that about 10% of their player base even read the forums. 10% of your player base knowing about an issue is not public knowledge. They easily could have made it public knowledge by having this information displayed anywhere in the game. Or in the installation process. Or the launcher (you know, where all that ad space is): "Keep in mind that this is a real beta build. Performance in the release build will be much better". That they didn't -although it is apparently "known" in test circles that the "public" build has performance issues- speaks volumes about Blizzard's information policy. They just don't care, or so it appears. And I don't know what would be worse. This client being what can be expected of launch, or Blizzard not even caring about customers enough to give them that information. By the way: This /tinfoil hat comment sounds exceedingly rude, and really does nothing to make me more amenable to Diablo III's cause or community. 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human. You actually might be onto something with the whole 'secret greed level' thing. Would be a pretty cool cow-level replacement.
