Hi there! I'm playing this build for the league and it's really satisfying to sit in mob packs and watch them eat dirt.

My question for you is, are there any gems worth dropping in favor of a movement ability such as Shield Charge, Flame Dash, etc?
Hey hysteriumd! I'd say the best gems to replace are from the Tempest Shield Link. Culling Strike is pointless without Tempest Shield. If you were to remove those two that link could turn into Berserk, Intimidating Cry, and your movement skill.

That'd likely be what I'd do.

And thanks for your kind words! I'm glad the build fits you and that you're having such a satisfying time :). Thanks for passing it on.

I am a rather casual PoE player, but I wanted to let you know I adapted this build to a Scion and I am really enjoying it. Currently level 60 in Act 8 and with the Gladiator ascendancy I'm up to 68% block already.

My only recommendation for leveling this build would be to make sure you get the Life and Mana Leech passive under Vaal Pact on this build sooner than I did (58) because it reduces/removed the need for mana flasks with all three auras on. I felt like getting that leech node and then Vaal Pact are really what made this build into Stand And Spin for most things.

I am playing this build and just put leap slam into an unset ring. You could do the same for any movement skill you want.
Just gave up on Harvest League (mechanic is annoying).... So gonna focus on my highest level duelist character with this build a 92!

A couple of questions

Cleave (which I really like the feel of) I know is not designed as a one hand & shield skill. How much of a hit would it be to use it or Double Strike, instead of Bladestorm?

Has anyone been able to fit Pride, Flesh & Stone, Blood & Sand with either Herald of Purity or another aura skill using enlighten gem + other mana reduction? Bought an Enlightened Level 3 does not work. Assume Level 4 will also not be enough on its own & would require anointed passive use

Anointment I learned is a thing in Standard? What do you choose on your Anvil or other Necklace & Rings?

Like so many others I just wanted to say thank you for this lovely build. I have a toddler who is constantly climbing in my lap and I am often lucky to have even one hand to play with. This build is fantastic and I am eager to try out your other build as well. Good health to you!
Loving this build. Decided to go with this in harvest league. I do feel like in doing something wrong however as I am routinely out of mana ... and that is with me having the 50% reserve Prise turned off. I find that I do ok in longer fights but running thru hallways and killing trash mobs I am always out. In all fairness, i am still leveling thru the story and am only 50 with bad gear. I of course have the one mana leech node in the build. By chance does the mana leeched get affected by overkill? What I mean is that if an enemy has 1k life and my crappy gear kills him by doing 1k damage ... do I get the same mana leeched as someone else with better gear that hits the enemy for 5k? In other words, does the damage done overall determine leeched mana or just the base of the enemy life?

I was in the problem of mana too about 48-50 levels, I decided to switch rage support to multistrike, now it's better for me and without effect for damage, still doing well. Also, I have only 4 link.

Also, I am mid 50 now. I just completed the right side of the passive tree. I am at the 3 grouping which includes Gladiators Perseverance. The guide has the one prior to that GP node as the one to the left of it with 3 modifiers one if which us 4% attack speed. If the other side is used instead, it has two if the same modifiers but instead of 4% attack speed, it has 0.4% leech for physical damage as well as 40% increased recovery from leech. I understand we want attack speed, but the added leech seems substantially better. Are we already capped at leech without this node? If so, then that of course makes sense. Otherwise, please advise why 4% speed is preferred. All 3 of the auto block skills do physical damage. Does the leech not work from those procs? Sorry for my newness, but the choice seems too obvious to me ... so I must not be understanding the mechanics.

Thanks

Edit: thanks ktak13. I will keep that in mind. For now, I am playing gimped without Pride
