Engineering Eternity's poison BV is still very viable. You can make any Roth's Reach bow build or Spellslinger +Cold snap as well.

something new. i don't really like making just a "starter" build. i like to stick with one main build. so even tho it might not be starter friendly (though i think it will be) im going to start with....

Necro VD was either not touched, or touched so little it doesn't matter. So I figured I'd try that since it was my second choice last league but I never bothered because I quit after like week 3.

Some sort of mix between Wintertide Brand and maybe Arcanist Brand with Vortex or Ice Nova linked to it, with a Cold Snap self-cast for bossing. It sounds nice, in theory, but here's hoping it turns out.

I really like self-cast play, so I'll probably go trickster with either BL, FB or storm burst.

Made myself my own league starter and tried it out till lvl 48.

I'm going Assassin crit self cast arc, into spellslinger arc + ball lightning, into Cyclone CwC arc + ball lightning, with spell totem wave of Conviction and orb of storms to crit and curse.

Shield Charge with endurance charge on melee stun, stun support, fortify.

Using Frenzy while still using wands, until switch out to dagger when i get Cyclone CwC. then no more reliable way to get frenzy for bosses :( wait...Maybe i can Vaal Cold Snap on bosses.... :D

Flame dash for ledges.

With Vaal RF and Vaal grace, wrath on essence worm ring, MoM and eldrich battery active, with elusive as well, he does about 1.4 million with flasks on trash rare gear.

with better rare gear or more uniques, it'll do a lot more. Maybe even cluster jewels as well.

pros: easy clear with arc
cons: damage against bosses/ tough rares lacking without ball lightning in the beginning. might need to invest in explosive traps or something?

Once I get enough currency, i'll start a witch Cyclone CoC Volatile Dead Necro, maybe.

EITHER SPELLSLINGER VD, SPECTRES, OR SOMETHING ELSE NOT REALLY SURE YET.

storm burst can be so good. i have a great plan for a trickster self cast storm burst build. tried it a bit in delirium and it was insane damage, but not much aoe - tho i didn't bother trying to min/max it

i'd really like to try it out again. have a pob read for it (old tree) which suggests about 25 aoe range, which should be good enough for good feeling clear.

its an expensive build though, the way i built it. requiring call of the brotherhoods and pandemonius etc.

Well, as is want to happen with the patch notes - I've abandoned all the build ideas I was kicking around. I'm now thinking Armageddon Brand chieftan - with Bloodmagic/Mortal Convicton/Supreme Ego combo to keep it simple.
