Porting to Google Stadia?
Hi,
Is there any news or plans to port Path of Exile Game(s) to Google Stadia? This would make it the first of its class on the platform, and even the first of its genre in the Cloud Gaming World. Could be interesting for the game devs. Thanks! https://stadia.google.com/home https://stadia.dev/ Last bumped on Jun 14, 2020, 1:35:35 PM

Stadia supports mouse and keyboard. You have clearly never tried it.
This is the main way I play the games there. Also supports controllers (PS4, Xbox, Stadia's own, whatever). Also, you can play on your phone (with or without a physical controller), on your android tablet, chromebook, on your TV (chromecast), on your laptop/Desktop. Even on your Mac. And Linux. Because your games run in the browser. Just buy your game and play on the screen you want. No updates, no downloads, no worrying about disk space, or hardware upgrades. It is free for 1080p streams. You want 4k/HDR with some additional game discounts, pay 10$/month that you can cancel at any time. So much misinformation it is unbelievable. https://stadia.google.com/home |

Haven't tried Stadia or GeForce Now.
But I am very interested in the development of these tech. In the not so distant future we could be in web-VR playing PoE using only our smart watches and AR-glasses. PC and cell phones will now be obsolete. That is dope. ![]() As it stands I heard and saw on YT that both systems are very playable with fast internet at 1080p. A few more development cycles and versions, we could be hooking up our phones with our display, keyboard and mouse to play PoE and other games. As this technology matures GGG can offer this as their subscription model. Maybe for $5 per month they could stream your PoE game to you. Max graphics at 1080p or 4K. Could be added as part of the Supporter Packs. The $30 Base Supporter Pack could include a 5 month service, and so on. Maybe hardware and software issues will be minimized since the hardware is theirs and running only one game, PoE. No need to cater different user PC configurations. I think this is how this tech will mature and move forward. Different gaming companies will offer their own game streaming service and we will be subscribing to each of them. Just like the movie/tv streaming service. All we need is the browser, the basic dirt cheap PC that could run it and the expensive high speed internet tier connection. Filthy Casual Scrub. " Not sure I want to swap my 27" widescreen for a 1.5" smartwatch screen to play PoE... |

It's a failed idea and as such, a bad investment to get into. Chris is smarter than that, I'm sure.
Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done.
Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league. Try to make maps meet, you're a slave to the meta, then you leave. |

" The watch holds most of the hardware and softwares - APU, storage, GPS, sensors, apps, a touch screen for menu selection and alert displays like messages and missed calls if your AR-glasses is not worn or active, bluetooth connectivity for mouse and keyboard interface, 5G network antenna, etc. The AR-glasses is the 'wireless display' and POV camera/sensors. This is done to keep the glasses light while holding the display chip and a reasonable amount of battery. So its not 1.5", its how big you want it to be, 60" widescreen etc. Filthy Casual Scrub. How is it a failed idea when it works like a charm... Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to Stadia. Watch Dogs 3, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077, FIFA 21... I can play Red Dead Redemption 2 on my phone, then switch it back to the TV, then go to my PC, switching inputs too, and don't lose my game state doing so. There's unnecessary hate against the tech. It works great. There's no latency issues. I can play Mortal Kombat 11 with a controller on a Chromecast and then switch to play PUBG on my Desktop with a mouse and keyboard.

" Yup I felt that too, even from some reviewers on YT. Tech is great, there are hurdles that needs to ironed out but I think this is the future of gaming. Platform and OS agnostic on the player side. Can play AAA PC games, console games, to dumb fun smartphone games on any hardware from PC Master Race rigs, xbox, playstation, to cheap toasters and smartphone mobile with 720p displays. " Even if poe will be somehow ported (tho i don't see why, maybe only if tencent decides to do it with chinese version for reasons unknown), there will be issues, especially on the new league start, hehe.
