Singapore instances created from Australian realm
|
Hi all,
Since yesterday me and my mate noticed that our instances get created in Singapore realm (maybe 50% of the time) rather than Australian one. 1) Is this some covid cost saving or ddos attack? I dont think we can play on 200ms ping for long. 2) Is GGG aware of the issues and will it be resolved before league starts? ps. i had disconnect yesterday and could not reconnect for some time as well so i suspect something with servers is going wrong. Same problem here.
I have "Australia" serer selected and keep getting sent to "Singapore". Not really willing to play with the ping. I had a couple of late season goals but I guess I'll find something else to do. Cheers! |

it's called 2load balancing".
if one realm is full or otherwise lacking capacity, new instances are created on neighbouring game servers (realms). that's common practice. nothing unusual offline

" :) playing for years in Au realm and i think its first time i have seen singapore pop up so not really normal. |
|
" ggg explained the load balancing mechanism some time ago, and it's global. offline

" Even if this is true. Whenever I logon, I end up in Singapore. Early morning, Singapore. Lunchtime, Singapore. Afternoon, Singapore. Prime time, Singapore. Eleven PM, Singapore. If it is "load balancing", there is some issue in how it is being applied or there is some issue with the Australian servers. I've played since beta. Since 40/40 has been introduced I have got 36/40 in almost all of the leagues. I have never had this happen to me before. |
