Question about enemy lightning resist with new unique Doryani's Prototype

With the new unique Doryani's Prototype "Nearby Enemies have Lightning Resistance equal to yours". Can it then be further lowered or is it always whatever yours is?

For example if you have -60% lightning res and you curse a nearby enemy with conductivity that gives -44%, does that enemy now have -104% or still -60%?

new patch is not yet released. But probably you can't further lower the res. It should always the same as yours res.

So no point to curse the enemies. Or may be self-curse instead.


Once we have the item you can test dps with unique boss that without map mod to tell. Note that curse effectiveness existed so that it may not that significant

(or you can always test it in PVP)

Probably elemental penetration still works, but curses, exposures, and other sources of "enemies have +-XX resists", most likely wont do anything.

You will need to self-curse to reduce their res further. GGG is quite literal when wording those kinds of mechanics. So "equal to" means "equal to", and theirs can't be changed unless yours does. Penetration will still work as it's a separate mechanic and doesn't care what a mobs resistance rating is.

It does, but it's less effective when the enemies have less resists.
