Transcendence = possible god mode tanks in pvp again?

90% reduction to elemental damage with enough armour which cannot be penetrated. Including phys taken as elemental/chaos, fortify, CI, reduced damage taken and such. Might see some invincible builds pop up in pvp even in just league mode.

I guess since the usual armour rules should apply to the mitigation this should only be strong against smaller hits and not big hits. Still with enough reduced damage taken and the pvp damage scaling, I could see this extra layer of defense being enough to never die to any of the fast/small hitting skills in the game..

Thoughts?

Usual armour rules, exactly.

An elemental damage skill with 20k tooltip avg damage, 0.2s attack time and 70% penetration hits against 70 max res character for:
 1406 raw damage
 1236 vs 20% fortify
 941 vs 50% fortify

if the target using the keystone:
 1115 vs 100k armour
 1236 vs 50k armour
 1324 vs 20k armour

 979 vs 100k armour and 20% fortify
 746 vs 100k armour and 50% fortify

and so on.

The keystone is a significant eHP buff to a character that normally has no issues with eHP aka Aegis Aurora bs, and pretty mediocre for everyone else.
Problem: impostor syndrome
Solution: nerf everything
Result: depressing mess

Easy to counter with broken impale stack
I think it s better used offensively depending of "nearby" aoe

Anyway Transcendence is almost useless

Interesting.. Have to try Trans + Incan + CI also but it looks like divine flesh and incan should win out.
I actually see this being pretty beneficial for CI builds. Up to now CI builds would get destroyed by builds that had high penetration since they couldn't rely on divine flesh to mitigate some of that pen damage. Transcendence seems to give CI an option to mitigate it now, pretty cool.
