Choosing Vulkan API makes monitor go to 60hz

Vulkan enforces its own VSync which CANNOT be modified. This VSync force-disables (at the very low API levels) GSync & the AMD variant.

yes, this encoder talks DIRECTLY with the motherboard. Intentionally.

That is incorrect, no idea where you got that from.
It's beside the point anyway, since we're not talking about any sync. I do have freesync but I'm not using it and of course I'm not using regular vsync either....

My issue has been RESOLVED since then. I literally didn't change anything, just restarted my pc. I think it's some kind of glitch, who knows. For example when I open the client, alt-tabbing is a bit slower at first (even though it's windowed-fullscreen etc.), but then I change something in my monitor's OSD settings just to quickly 're-initialize' it (using displayport), and then alt-tabbing becomes instantaneous just like it'd be with dx11. Until I close the client, then have to re-do this. So, just weird stuff, it is a bit glitchy right now, but otherwise works fine. There is no 'forced vsync', I tested some zones 250+ fps, but of course I limit to 144. And if you meant something with regular vsync, well again we have it disabled, that wasn't the issue in the first place.

Well, with the new league patch it seems resolved, now i can play with Vulcan and 144hz in the monitor without problems.
