The soundtrack that started it all for Exiles. To me this score captures the heart and soul of our first steps into Wraeclast. It is as iconic to POE as Matt Uelman's Tristram music was to introducing the Nephalem to Diablo's Sanctuary. A true masterpiece. Please bring it back as a hideout music option. Understand that copyrights to the song might have expired but hopefully an amicable solution can be agreed with the composer of this haunting theme. Last bumped on May 29, 2020, 5:33:06 PM

I agree that it feels as iconic as Uelman's theme.
And perhaps I am oversimplifying the issue, but it should not be difficult to let players use custom soundtracks, sidestepping the copyright issue entirely. Whether GGG is willing to give players that much freedom is a different question. But since players already regularly mute the music and play their own stuff in the background, it doesn't seem like such a huge ask. Wash your hands, Exile!

They can't bring back the original soundtrack for legal reasons.
The first composer of PoE is no longer part of the team and the soundtracks he made legally belong to him. GGG was required to not only remove these music tracks in their entirety, but replace them with ones from a new composer. I agree with you though, the old music was more atmospheric than the new stuff. I still have fond memories of the original Solaris Temple music in act 3. However, there's literally nothing GGG can do to bring these back. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

Hell, a custom soundtrack option would let players use Trent Reznor's stuff as the Lioneye's Watch theme if they wanted.
