Dread Thicket farming?

I never hear of anyone doing it. But it's a level 62 area with a unique monster and a high chance of a large chest.

Wouldn't this be an exceptional place to Magic Find farm???

I farm there a lot.

Yeah I just did 1 run. Got a Scour and an Alch, and all the items are ilvl 64. This can only go well.

I don't like it. It has chaos dmg and bears that do a lot of dmg per hit. The area is also like a maze. While it does have a nice chance of spawning a large chest (around 1/3 from my experience) it has very few normal chests.
I prefer straight forward areas like the usual farming places.

I run dread thicket farmin' whenever i'm in the lvl range for it in normal/cruel, and i think it's a great place to farm for chisels to support map running - both because there is around a 1/3 or 1/4 chance of a large chest, but also double unique bosses and usually lots of magic monkeys :D

Also most item drops there are 60~ itemlvl for chaos orb recipe ^^

I never knew it was lvl 62. O.o I just did 2 runs and already got a unique, albeit Hrimsorrow's. The non-linear nature of the zone kinda kills it though.

Well, as a CI Shadow with Arctic Armor, I'm nigh invincible in the place, so that's a huge plus. I'll have to save up for Andies, because I can afford to go full MF gear in there.





I was starting to get tired out from killing all the mundane apes & shit, but then I decided I'll just Quicksilver to any group with a rare, clear it, and get to the two bosses and check for a chest and be done with it. Really speeds up the runs, and I'm gaining pretty good exp in the process. I'll hit 69 next run :) But that's for tomorrow, need to get my ass to bed now.
