Community Racing Inaugural Race Day - May 23rd 7pm UTC - SSFHC Delirium

Hey, everyone!

Over the last 16 months I worked closely with Kammell, and in lieu of his recent retirement announcement, I'm going to try my best to keep his momentum going and organize a handful of races every league. I'd also love to work with other organizers, streamers, and benefactors in the larger PoE Community to host and create racing events as well. So, if you want to put on a race, let's get in touch!

As such, I'd like to announce the first race I'll be coordinating with a new Racing Benefactor: Rex! Rex is a long-time PoE player and avid enthusiast of all things racing.

Together, we'll be hosting two final races for Delirium League, one on the 23rd, and another the following Saturday for the 30th.

PoE Community Racing Inaugural Race Day - May 23rd 7pm UTC - SSFHC Delirium

We're very excited to present the following lineup events for the first race day:

Dominus Rush
Two Hour XP Race
Piety Rush
A5 Kitava Rush

Events will be spaced out with both down time and a cut off for each event to keep proper pacing, but also allow racers time to prepare for the next event.

Like in previous races organized by Kammell, it is also our wish to not make streaming a requirement. While strongly encouraged, we understand PoE is an international game with players of many different circumstances. We do not wish to exclude those who do not have top of the line equipment from participating in an event that could help better their situation.

Entering the Race:

If trying to enter the race have some history participating in past races, a vouch from someone in the race or a VOD.

If submitting a VOD, we're looking for sub-2h A5 Kitava or sub-4h A10 Kitava both with labs (excluding Merc Lab in A10 run) and skill points done. Submit the VOD here, on the PoECR Discord in the #submit-your-race-vod channel(https://discord.gg/zWs5kvJ) or in PM/DM.

Those who have been in past Kammell/Method races and are in good standing need only contact me for an invite.

Prizes will be awarded per event so there will be multiple winners with each event!
All Prizes and Leagues have been funded by Rex! Thank you!

First: $50
Second: $35
Third: $20

I was following Kammell's lead on this first one, since this was often the time he organized his races for, but I'm not opposed to changing the time of future races as necessary.

No matter when I schedule it, it will be a terrible time frame for someone. Poor Ziggy is getting up at 5am just to cast for us. I'd love to have an event with multiple "heats" where there could be multiple starts, but anything like that requires a lot of resources on the casting side, so its a tough thing to balance.

The event that's upcoming on the 30th will allow for those who can't compete in the opening hours of the race to still participate within a set time for a chance to win prizes. That's my preliminary way of addressing this problem for now.

I'll try and see if I can find a more creative solution for next league.

always good to see more racing!
Whats the point of this races if anyway as always will win same small group of peoples that spend half of their lifes for it?
Should be 2 types of races, for normal players and typical racers, cause every race looks like Olympic vs Paralympics.
So excited about much racing has been going on. Thank you for your hard work!

Great idea, price pool total being 420.. noice ;) ... but if I am not missing something, additional contributions to the price pool are hard to align with the intended split. Of course it gets akward with fractions anyway if someone is tossing in 5 more dollars, but in general I would suggest having exact percentages as splits (45% for the first, 30% for the second and 25% for the third for example).

Anyhow, let's double that prize money.

Thank you so much for your generosity!

Initially we were only going to use the funds Rex provided. When I announced the race on Reddit, a few asked for a prize pool link, so I poked Rex to make one. Moving forward we'll use % for sure!

Thank you so very much for your contribution to the Race! The racers are going to be so excited!
