How much "emenies have -physical damage reduction against your hits" do I need?
I recently found out it can't go negative and I over did it and got to -113%.I would like to know how much I really need for the most resistant mob or boss or whatever.Thank you! Last bumped on May 6, 2020, 12:56:55 PM

If monster's maxResistances have the same cap of player's maxResistances, then I guess a -90% will suffice against even EC-using enemies. Maximum resistance for every kind of damage, at least for players, is 90% unless straight immunity is applied.
Then again, it is consensus that the "-x% physical damage reduction" works similiar to the "-x% elemental resistance". If that's the case, the more physical damage reduction you can build up, the better |

" Sirus has armor - lots of it if his poedb is to be believed. But either way his % phys reduction will be based on how hard you hit. Path of building community fork seems to model his armor so you could try importing your char and reducing your phys penetration until you see damage changes |

" I just tried with the fork and I can put -999 phys reduction the number just keeps going up.So I still don't how much is max before it starts becoming useless.I'll just keep it at 103 I guess.Spent so many ex in the past days trying to optimize with cluster jewels...just to find out I'm a cuck.Dunno why things have to be this convoluted that I need 3ed party softs with community upgrades and do all this rocket science along side all the management that goes into this game.I barely get to play because all of this :(.Woulda been much easier if it just went in the negative so I can look at it as "more" damage which at least i can understand.Guess will never know. |

the harder you hit the less you need, if your doing phys cyclone with two low damage unbelievably fast foils non crit its high value. If your doing heavy strike with a 2h its next to worthless :p
