Malgiro's Spike, and other quest reward problems.
|
Hello,
I was questing with my group, and after killing the Weaver, I picked up Malgiro's spike. Now, I had 2 spots (squares) open in my inventory, but the way it was set up was such that there was nothing I could trade, 1 for 1, for the Spike. I can't put it down as it's a quest item. I can't move for whatever reason, so I relog. I'm in town, and I click the vendor and my character moves to talk to him, but I can't move otherwise. I still have Malgiro's Spike on my cursor and my inventory is still too full to store it. I try going to the Stash, but I can't store a quest item and I can't move any of my own items. When I talk to the vendor, I can only purchase items, I can't sell any. Here's a picture of the situation:

![]() So now, my level 18 Witch can do nothing. It's the equivalent of being dead, only I don't get moved to SC. Kinda bummed because one of the few uniques I own is on this character and there's no way to transfer items from her since Malgiro's Spike is perpetually on the cursor. A fix for this would be much appreciated. Last edited by TremorAcePV#7356 on Mar 23, 2013, 3:20:37 PM

Bump.
Also, this is what my inventory looks like from the website.

![]() Note the weirdness of how Malgaro's Spike is just up in the top left corner. Last edited by TremorAcePV#7356 on Mar 23, 2013, 6:58:56 PM

Wow. That sucks. I would suggest /destroy, but I just tested it and it doesn't work for quest items. Perhaps someday the devs will make opening the stash a hotkey and able to open anywhere in town.
Until then I'd say your character is definitely unplayable. The second problem deserves its own thread since it probably has someone else fixing it. Moved upon request. Last edited by ionface#0613 on Mar 24, 2013, 6:34:18 PM

" Indeed. Thanks for the help and reply. That would be an amazing fix. Another would be to just have a special inventory space for quest items. Something separate from normal space. Very. ... By "Second problem", do you mean the weirdness of my inventory on the site? When thinking about it, if the new trade system they are working on allows us to trade on the site, outside of the game, I could trade some things out of my inventory and it could be fixed that way. Assuming we can trade directly from our characters inventory and not just from stash. Just bumping this with thoughts atm. |

Update:
So, I fixed the problem. I can click on waypoints and move to them (only things that are clickable allow me to move to them, such as Stash, Waypoints, Vendors, etc). I went to Mud Flats and, somehow, it allowed me to drop Malgiro's Spike. This allowed me to continue with my character. Strangely, I couldn't drop it in Weaver's Chambers when I got it. Interesting. |

Sorry for the slow response, glad you could figure a solution out. I will talk to our UI programmer and see if we can prevent this happening in future! I can only assume you couldn't drop the item in the Weaver's Chambers because there was no space underneath you to drop it, because other items were there.

" It's fine. Just glad this is a game with developers that care. Yes, there were many, many items there. However, I know from experience from Brutus and Merveil runs that dropping items where loot already is works. Perhaps Quest items are different though. Thanks for the response. :) |

" I guess quest items try to drop at your feet while any other kind of loot will spawn next to existing loot. Computer specifications:
