Can't Get Watchstone Drops? Here's A Possible Solution
Hi people,
I blasted through a ton of maps until I had done several conqueror fights and I went into my first Sirus fight. After getting my ass handed to me, I went back to frolicking through red maps and getting conqueror spawns... but when I was killing them they weren't dropping anything. No influenced items, no watchstones. Naturally, I was confused, so I went and checked out some guides on YouTube. What finally helped me realize what was going wrong was this fantastic video by Ghazzy. I thought I'd break it down into terms that helped me further understand why I wasn't getting any watchstones. What My Atlas Looked Like ______________________________________________________________________________ ![]() (Pardon potato-quality) This was my atlas after my first Sirus fight. Here I have an Awakener level of 5 because I have a total of 20 socketed watchstones: four in Haewark (top left), Tirn (top left, hugging center), Lex Ejoris (top right), Lira Arthain (bottom right), and New Vastir (bottom left, citadel hidden by conqueror). So why couldn't I get any watchstone drops? Each watchstone is directly tied to the region it drops in. Every time you kill a conqueror, they will drop a watchstone that is belongs to that region specifically. This is super important if you want Awakener Level 8. Here's an example: if I kill Al-Hezmin in Tirn's End, I am going to get the Green Watchstone that belongs to that area only. If I already have the watchstone for that area and I kill Al-Hezmin in that area again, nothing is going to drop because homie has already dropped what he is going to drop for that area. Another way to think about this is that you are going to kill every conqueror in every region. How To Tell Which Regions Your Watchstones Belong To ______________________________________________________________________________ ![]() What you want to do now is ctrl+click every watchstone you have socketed. This will put them here. Whenever you do this, it's going to pop the watchstone into its corresponding region. Based on where my watchstones fell after unsocketing all of them, it meant that, based on the previous image: • Haewark (top) was complete. • Tirn (2nd from top) was complete. • Lex P. (3rd from top) was missing Baran, Al, Veri, and Drox. • Lex E. (4th from top) was missing Baran. • Vastir (5th from top) was complete. • Glenn (6th from top) was missing Baran, Veri, and Drox. • Valdo (7th from top) was missing Al, Veri, and Drox. • Lira (bottom) was missing Al. ![]() I just wound up making a list in notepad that corresponded each missing fight. How I Think You Force A Conqueror Spawn ______________________________________________________________________________ ![]() As you can see, I re-socketed all of my watchstones. I excluded every region that I already had all 4 watchstones for: Haewark, Tirn, and Vastir. Then, I just put every watchstone into the citadels I didn't have completed. I started to run maps of these corresponding regions, and, lo and behold, I was getting influence where I needed it. My first example of this was Al's influence in Lira (I think it was in a T13 Gardens map). Then, just to see if my theory was correct, I ran in Lex E., getting Baran influence just a few maps later. Proof of Concept ______________________________________________________________________________ ![]() Here's my watchstone from fighting Al! This one goes to Lira Arthain, which is now complete for me. I hope that this little guide-thing comes in handy for someone who's been stuck at 20 or so watchstones. Have a good day people. If you hover over watchstone storage spaces on the atlas it tells you whether you got a watchstone already and requirements to spawn conquerors
