New request for South African gateway, now with AWS flavour

I like to think this thread has been seen and that they are secretly working on something for us, which is why we haven't heard anything since April...

Regardless, I'll keep doing my part (withdraw monetary support + this thread + anywhere I can mouth off about it) until the situation changes or once more game publishers start to include South Africa as an option for their online hosting.

We already have a few games that cared enough to do so, and those see my support when buying whatever MTX I like. They cared enough to throw us a bone, the least I could do is show my support of that.

If you guys want to experience the worst desync ever, try out Dash with double dash distance enchant. I tried it out in the last league. You dash across the screen and get desynced back halfway every single time. There doesn't even have to be anything in the way. Just an open area and desync like you've never experienced.

Haha I can only imagine. It's probably some weird interaction because you can still be hit mid dash or something, and then relies much more on lockstep. Just a guess though.

Yeah, I'm with you there.

Just seems it's not worth their while for whatever reason they decided was good enough to come to that conclusion.

Just had to Alt+F4 out of a dive due to the unstable ping. Please GGG.
One thing that has been bothering me...

Tencent owns 86.67% of GGG.
Naspers owns 31.2% of Tencent.
That means Naspers (a South African company) owns approx 27% of GGG. That's more than Chris.

Maybe we must ask the SA company Naspers why there is no server in SA.
The plot thickens haha. Unlikely to get an answer from Tencent or Naspers, so I'll keep my request here where I feel it is relevant. If anyone has contacts at Naspers, now is the time to use your influence!

So yeah, @Chris Wilson, why does your South African almost 1/3rd owned company not even host a gateway here? As one of your largest investors, it's high time that we get some recognition at least?

Another NZ work day gone, another cold shoulder.

Wish it felt good being actively made to feel like you don't exist, I'd be euphoric every time I logged on here.
Although the forum mods are probably bored of ignoring this thread by now, bamping back to first page.
Back to the front you go.
