Yes this fixed the high bandwidth usage for me too. At least while idle.

@Larabiata4711 Have you tried running a map yet, though? I'm still getting lag spikes in maps, only when near mobs (or.. items?) to the point where it's unplayable. I know this sounds weird but yes, it's actual ping spikes. I've never had this before so I'm pretty sure it's related to the item filter issue. I'm trying to see if having more/less filter files makes any difference, even if they're not loaded. Don't have any clear results yet though.
