PoB freezing the PC.. he doesnt even want to look at it..

Newest drivers.. PoB freezes the pc.

Whole damn program just freezes on start up.. no errors nothing..

At first I thought it was that damned "Checking for updates" as if its important.. lol..

But even if I close the program it still freezes the pc.

In one moment the whole screen goes black.

Experiment for science:

Try bloking POB internet connection.. it will do all kind of weird things.. you never know whats cooking in that code. It will not work properly I swear.

I had this problem before but it went away "magically".

Turns out the PoB is in auto desctruction mode.. it just wants to shutdown itself.

Lol.. so what to do about it?

^ Turns out the "POB installer" isnt packed with these files at all. What a weird thing to do.. not include most important things. I am yet to determine why the evil Arl did so, but this thread will be useful in the future for others or me as well. Had such bug few years ago.
I dislike rarity so much im almost quitting poe2. GGG.

Isn't PoB open source? So you actually CAN know exactly "what's cooking"?

Anyhow, I've never had problems with PoB. Even though it's privately written, I hope you're holding the doors open for the possibility of your PC being the problem, even though you have "the latest drivers".

Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Why is this a forum post on PoE forums?

You mean that my "The Spotify app is freezing my PC" thread doesn't belong on Asus' forums? Shit.

Didnt knew all asus users have spotify.. PoB is used probably by 99% of playerbase. So yes it does belong here.

If you're on an AMD GPU, definitely check your drivers. If you've recently upgraded, try downgrading.

Various AMD cards have had issues with SimpleGraphic rendering under some versions of the AMD drivers. Not just with PoB but with any app that uses it.

^^^ This.

I don't know if that's causing your problem. Two night ago I was uninstalling trash programs I didn't need, hit catalyst somethin somethin, unaware it was the graphics driver manager. It uninstalled one of the few things it had for options cause I cancelled it when the screen blinked and cam back differently, now everything runs massively better.

Have about 30% better frame rate in Clone Hero, and only like 5% of the lockups in LoL. AMD drivers can be dumb.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.
