Since you need to make appear "Conquerors" in the atlas.
At least in the beggining you need to go to the corners of the atlas, and in my case I hadn´t those maps, so I had to start trading them, HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME!

Why do you have to buy maps in the first place?

What if the OP is looking to buy Cortex or some other special map that isn't regular?

I don't usually buy regular maps either but there are special circumstances.

Buying the special maps aren't typically problematic unless its really cheap. I had little trouble getting several beachheads in the last day or two.
Yep, totally over league play.

It's easier to just build the map pool and save yourself the aggravation. I hate building it every league, but as each new league makes it cost prohibitive to bother will low value sales, it's still less irritating than trying to buy low value maps as needed.
Yep, totally over league play.
Don't be a map-buying cuck!

Get your own corner maps ez pz

--Smash The Foothills. Home, home on the Range, where the billygoats look pretty strange...It's wide open. It runs mostly WNW of the waypoint. There's a mirror there. You know what to do!

Maps literally rain from the clouds there. Smush them together to go from t1 to t2, and so on and so forth. Also, it drops "Cartographer's Delight" which lets you pick up a t5 map from a wide variety of regions. Including the corners!

--Do your temple! Maps now appear in the cartography room. Yesterday I got 5 maps from someone's level 76 atzoatl. Among them were two t3's from New Vastir and one from Lira Arthain. (Those are corner regions you need to play in to get your first conqs.)
The other two were yellow maps from the creamy centre of the atlas.

--Alc & Go. Hey, did you know that 4-mod maps drop more maps than 2-mod maps? If you can't handle the map mods, it's sort of a sign that you either need to fix your build before you go on to fight conquerors, OR you just reroll until you get something you can live with. Hint: you can probably do more than you think you can, if you slow down, and think before engaging packs full of ghosted bloodlines nemesis crackheads on angel dust in the fog.

--Let's talk about frags. Raise your hand y'all if the first time you got a full set of sac frags you ran off to do normal Atziri. *crickets* *a dog barks* *papers shuffling*
See? Well, they're not useless. Nope, each one is +5% quant to any map. Wow! So even if you can't do ANY mods, you can stick a white map in the chamber with a set of frags and pull the trigger and get +20% quant. This affects map drops too!

--Do your vaal areas. Corollary to the above, you gotta make time for frags. Do maps drop in vaal areas? YOu bet! (Sometimes they're white corrupted but hey those can be smushed) They also drop FREE QUANT. Use it, love it, share it.
