buy extra inventory space

This is the last thread I wished to see bumped, but still let let me phrase my two cents so it doesn't seem like most people want this feature:

GGG please keep such practices exclusive to your overlords over the other side of the wall where the loot pets roam free, unlike Uyghurs.
I don't necesserily want more inventory space, but I certainly need a separate inventory for quest items! I have a bunch of green quest contracts just cluttering up my inventory (I can't do them yet for various reasons) and taking up space, plus all the huge ass quest items from the story content.

And then there is the oh shit moment when you realise you're nearly out of inventory, you have at least one unique, half an inventory of currency, a few essences and divination cards, and you need to pick up the contract target but have no idea exactly how much space that thing is going to need...
I just started playing this game today and I'm already a little bummed out about the inventory space (bummed enough to actually have to Google it already to see if it can be increased). Its pretty lame having to port back to town every 10 minutes because my inventory is full again. Being new to the game, I'm assuming I should pick up just about everything I can and sell it to get some currency, but that's just silly with this small inventory so I'm only picking up blue items and above, even still I'm having to run back and forth from town more than I should have to.

Not sure why anyone would be against having a larger inventory... It should take the developers like 5 minutes to add it to the game. Pretty sure Diablo 2 had a larger inventory and that game is 19 years old... If not a larger inventory then at least give us some bags or backpacks or something we can store gear in.

I pick up everything, literally. I'm a hoarder. Did you ever play Grim Dawn? That game has a decent inventory space by default and you can buy more. Also, why would you be against more inventory space just because what you already have is good enough? More is even better, no?

Sacred has Grim Dawn beat for inventory space. Not so much for stash space.
I'm also quite new and a bit put off by the small inventory. I like to collect everything to sell it. With a bigger inventory I could grind longer without worrying about having left something behind.

In Torchlight 2 this is well solved. You have a pet right at the beginning. This one also has an inventory and can be sent into town every 2 minutes (can be reduced by enchantments). There he sells all items from his inventory and comes back after 2 minutes.

That would be great in PoE!

The mule pet originated in FATE, which uses a grid system like PoE does (Torchlight uses a slot system for inventory). The pet in FATE also has, at least in Traitor Soul onwards, obscene amounts of inventory space by default.

Both Torchlight and FATE are intended more for casuals, and outside of those two series I don't think any other ARPG has mule pets. Hell, even Diablo III, easy-mode as it is, doesn't use mule pets. Titan Quest and its spiritual successor Grim Dawn instead expand the inventory after plotline quests, the Sacred series errs towards a large inventory space from the word go, and the aforementioned Diablo III standardises gear to be either 1x1 (jewellry, belts, gems, pots) or 2x1 (literally everything else).
Sorry to bump this, but I'd literally pay to have more inventory space.

I haven't played this game in years, reinstalled yesterday and ready to quit again after playing 10 minutes.

You can't take 5 steps in this game without being over-encumbered. So very annoying.

Just play Ruthless mode. Not only is there no challenge to choose what to pickup to play efficiently, you're also fine with just some stash tabs
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

If you can't take 5 steps without being over-encumbered, it's time to start thinking harder about what's worth picking up.

Item filters help with that, by hiding less valuable loot so that you don't have to make the decision on the fly, and highlighting more valuable loot so that it's more eye-catching.
