Just about all of this requires trading, unfortunately.
The only ideas I can think of if you want to farm exalts on your own is the following:
1. Improve your mapping efficiency. Grab quad stash tabs and dedicate them for dumping your loot for sorting later. The less time you spend in HO putting stuff away, the more time you map and the more time you're mapping, the more likely you are to find exalts. There's plenty of videos you can find that goes further into this.
2. Farm maps that drop divination cards which reward exalted orbs. The cards you could farm are The Hoarder, The Saint's Treasure, and Abandoned Wealth.
- The Hoarder:
-- Vault map
- The Saint's Treasure:
-- Alleyways map
-- Arcade map
-- Arsenal map
-- Bazaar map
-- Ghetto map
-- Port map
-- Precinct map
- Abandoned Wealth:
-- Arsenal map
-- Precinct map
If you utilize the new favorite map mechanic to increase drop chance of chosen maps, I recommend prioritizing Vault, Arsenal, and Precinct maps. They're all located in separate regions, allowing you to max fave each of them. It also helps if you make sure Gravicius is in Syndicate Intervention so you can farm his scarabs which gives you more drop chance for divination cards.
3. Use the vendor recipe system and make exalted shards. The recipe is very similar to the chaos recipe, except you use full sets of rares that are influenced. They have to be a complete set with a matching influence to count.
Influences include:
- Shaper
- Elder
- Crusader
- Hunter
- Redeemer
- Warlord
You get 2 shards per set, 4 shards if all parts of the set are unID. If all you care about is getting exalted orbs with next to no trading involved, avoid IDing any influenced items unless you craft and need something for yourself.
