NPC speeches cut off early
hey there new to PoE.. I noticed that the voiceovers for the NPC's get cut off early as soon as the text scroll comes to an end so you actually miss the last line or so of they're speech.
fix- pry find a way to better sync up the speech with the scrolling text so it doesn't cut off before its complete Last bumped on May 24, 2020, 8:04:45 AM

I cant be the only one experiencing this can I? and if I am how can i fix it where its not doing that. Its just a sophomoric problem im shocked its actually a problem in 2020

I'll bump this. This problem has already been happening for more than a month and multiple people have reported it on this forum. This is disappointing for people who actually enjoy the lore and like listening to the NPC's dialogue.

There is a work around to this bug.
Use your mouse scroll wheel to prevent the last line of text from scrolling all the way to the top of the dialog. It's when the last line of text is scrolled out of view that the dialog is cut off. Preventing this line of text from scrolling out of view with your mouse's scroll wheel prevents the audio from ending early. |

" Nice, this does work. Its lame that it hast to be done but it does work thanks for the tip broski. I'm still shocked that this is a problem. From the replies here it sounded like this wasn't a problem but then a patch or something broke it? |

I posted about this on this April 26th on 3.10.1f Patch Notes Preview after noticing it for quite some time. Re-posted it below. I have done the same with the scroll wheel, however the text goes so fast you really have to scroll a lot to keep up. If its a long speech, then you are scrolling for the majority of the speech. Not too fun!
GGG, Can the text speed when any NPC is talking be fixed? The text goes faster than the speaker, so the text will finish before the NPC is done talking thus canceling their speech before all their dialog is complete. It is on all NPCs. This has been bugged for many patches, and not sure why it hasn't been addressed/fixed yet. I play with English text/voice.
