when does leveling become really really hard?

when does exp'ing up get really tough?

i'm wondering because i want to know what passives i'll have at the "end" or towards the end.

like 80? is that when u get a passive very rarely?

i want to plan what passives i should get now, because eventually i know i won't be getting passives often

depends on your build, but generally once you hit merciless act 2. act 1 isn't too rough, but act 2 picks up heavily. not to mention dying once costs you 15% exp if you play on default. 15% exp is a lot in the 70's and is why most people dont get to 80 because of the heavier grind and dying.
75-80.

I'm at 73 and leveling is still pretty quick.

I consider levels 50-60 as a "character check" if you're character is bad you will have a really tough and slow time leveling, on the other hand if your character is good it's a breeze

85+ is when a death seemed really tough to make up for but even then its all RNG on if you keep moving up with maps. If you are forced to play 67-69 because you have no maps, you're screwed. Maybe 1 exp every other map.

80. At 87, 2 68 maps = 1% maybe.
I'd say 80.

High 70's to 80's it gets rough, low level maps mean nothing. You can get to 70 easily just by doing 66 maps.
When does it get hard?
Depending on your build, never.
When does it start taking forever?
Around 75ish. I aim for 88 point builds, everything else is extra.
