Awakener Orb Crafting

Greetings, I have several queries regarding Awakener orb crafting:

1) Does cannot change prefixes or suffixes work with it?
2) The item to be sacrificed only the influence goes to the another item even if is a rare with other non influence mods on it?
3) In case cannot change prefixes or suffixes work in 1), after the process does it remove the enchantment or can I keep it for future changes in case I dont like the awakener RNG results?

1) No. they did for the first 3 weeks of Metamorph, but was not supposed to. they are now completely ignored, and will be lost when you make the final item.

2) Yes, the 'first' item used ONLY gives influence +1 mod. any other mods on the item are ignored.
