will the PoE community crucify me when i ask for an offline mode?^^

Yea, Corona made it even more clear that "always online" doesnt really work with Path of Exile.

The constant fight vs the servers are getting tiring. Is cheat protection the only thing that keeps us from getting an offline mode?
I bet Hardcore players that died from server problems really want to have a mode like this. Normal players too, me included of course. I live in east Germany and the network here isnt the greatest.

Predicitve mode causes my char to be somewhere else on the map after a couple seconds. And playing in lockstep means i play frame after frame. Latency tab up right is like a heartbeat monitor.

Oh and if you are someone with a nice network, wanting to bash me here. There are waaaaay too many people that have connection problems, especially during times with alot traffic.
i am my own cockblock

Your mtx has half value if you don't show them ... online .
there other factor but that's the one that count.
offline mode is not is impossible, cause they don't release the binary for the game server or the code for the master servers into the wild.

which game server do you connect to from east germany?

i would normally recommend frankfurt but it's under alot of stress very often lately, so it's advisable to use amsterdam.

you're only fucked if you use the german telekom as a provider cause they're one of the idiots who seriously think they're the german internet and try to sell their customers to other companies which results in limited bandwith on their exchange points (like in de-cix)

I'd say that's subjective. I buy supporter packs to support GGG, I use the cosmetics for personal enjoyment and not to add onto the kaleidoscope of shit I see in town. I would not at all be affected if the only person who can see my gaudy fashion sense is myself on account of playing offline.

That said, I support this game having an offline mode. One day the servers are going to shut down and when they do, the game dies with them. Since I started playing PoE back in 2012, I've wanted an offline mode, because I believe the only person who decides when I've had enough of the game is me and not the devs or the people in charge of keeping the servers running.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

It appears this actually isn't the case for most players. (myself included)

We buy and use cosmetics not because we wanna show off/brag (that's what our build performance is for!) but rather, because we want our characters look as badass to us as they feel.

I see it in other things that are distinctly offline, too: people will want a choice to select their character's appearance, even if no one else sees it.

Wolcen comes to mind.

Given the stability issues in that game, I reckon a lot of players are playing offline, but they love to go to the forums and discuss the looks of their characters. Sometimes ingame fashion is meant for the self and not the public.

For me, the first to come to mind is Warframe; if you don't play in random parties, the only way anyone sees your "Fashionframe" (which has a cosmetic system of comparable relative complexity to PoE's passive tree!) is if you're using the chat, and someone goes out of their way to view your profile from there.

Another example would be all the various "randomizer" variations for many classic games (Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, etc.) of which many come with options to swap your sprite, even though they're single-player console games; if you're not streaming, no one but you's going to see the difference.

And to be honest, from many observations, this actually extends to how not just in-game fashion works, but real-life fashion, too; contrary to what many thing, a lot of folks' conscious fashion choices aren't made focused on what others will see, but how a person sees themselves. It's just human nature to want to feel awesome.

League by league newly added mechanics and gameplay force us to play SOLO. My party online time now limited by completing Trials on maps.
-No more master rotas bc it is in the past due to gameplay changes
-No more sulphite rotas bc it is longer to gather party then collect same amount
yourself
-No more xp rotas bc poorjoy is not xp rewarding anymore and running dumb as xp
leecher w/o attacking or looting just a waste of time
-Ppl not running maps in party bc only map owner can drop maps. Now maps not for
completion - it is for procing the rest game content and u won't progress
yours if u run in someone's party
And cherry on the pie is Lagging gameplay and EYE CANCER fx which makes party gamplay absolutely disgusting. Devs who wants players to play in parties make adjustments to such game play (Lost Ark allows to turn off party players fx to not overload screen on graphics) GGG - not
So I wouldn't mind to have offline mode client
