*Mana gained on hit with spells* on Shaper rings is not considered a caster mod.

As you can see the "mana gained on hit with spells" does not recieve bonus from the caster catalyst, not that it will chance the value, but it also means that it does not recieve bonus chance when you roll a shaper ring with Aetheric Fossils.
