Veteran's Awareness does not work with Immortal call

Veteran's awareness is supposed to increase your capped resistances during a guard skill, but does not work with Immortal call.

I tested it with steel skin and molten shell, and it works with those two, but not with immortal call.


Here is image proof that the effect does indeed work, this was with steel skin.

Just for extra information that may help:
-I am a Trickster level 69
-The jewel is slotted in the top left outer jewel socket, the one preceded by "6% increased elemental damage"
-it is slotted alone, with no other jewels in between
-The guard skill is not being triggered, but hard casted and supported by only increased duration
